Shaken not Stirred: Cucumber & Habanero Margarita

For this episode of “Shaken not Stirred”, we bring you a rendition of the classic Margarita from Fairmont Mayakoba, which adds extra spice to warm you up after a cool autumn day of cocktails with friends. Salud!

You will need:

• 30 ml of Tequila
• 30 ml of Habanero infused Tequila
• 15 ml of simple syrup
• The juice of a medium size lime
• ¼ a lime
• 25ml of agave honey
• One thick slice of cucumber
• Ice cubes
• One thin slice of cucumber for decoration
• Salt and chilli powder for garnish

To make:

1. Rub half the rim of a margarita glass with the ¼ lime.
2. Dip the rim of the glass in a saucer with salt and chili powder until it is evenly coated, set aside.
3. Mix the two tequilas, the lemon juice and the agave honey in a shaker with ice.
4. Pour into the margarita glass.
5. Cut the thick slice of cucumber in cubes, put 4-6 in the Margarita glass.
6. Garnish with a thin slice of cucumber.
