Avenues of Trees - When driving around France, you’ll see many avenues of trees sheltering the roads from the heat of summer. It is said that these trees were planted at the behest of Emperor Napoléon to protect his marching troops from sunstroke whilst on campaign. Now these trees make for the most beautiful driving conditions!
