In January 2016, foodies can indulge in a French gastronomic experience without crossing the Channel as the France Show returns to London Olympia. The popular lifestyle and property show is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a glass of champagne (or two), watch chefs cook live on stage, shop for tasty treats and get the lowdown on the best French wines around.
As the UK’s biggest celebration of France, the France Show is a firm favourite with the British public, who flock to the capital each January to celebrate the best of French lifestyle, travel, culture and property.
Each day from 29-31 January 2016, the Flavours of France stage will host a menu du jour of gastronomic experts. Savoy-trained chef Guy Wolley and Susy Atkins, wine columnist for the Sunday Telegraph’s Stella magazine, will be bringing tempting food and wine pairing inspiration; Provençal chef Christine Vidal will recreate classics from the sunny south while chef Francis Delpey will showcase the flavours of Périgord, one of France’s culinary hotspots.
Visitors can also enjoy:
- A huge French market – grab your basket and indulge your culinary passions with a host of French products, from jams, regional cheeses and charcuterie to fresh baguettes and patisserie
- Guided Bordeaux wine tastings – sip and slurp with an expert to discover the best flavours from one of the world’s greatest wine regions
- Live entertainment – from the high kicks of the cancan girls and traditional Breton dancing to comedians Ian Moore and Tony Hawks, there will be plenty French-flavoured fun all weekend long
Around the show, visitors can also discover holiday ideas, brush up on French language skills and search for a dream property. It’s certain to satisfy an appetite for all things French!
