Socially Connected - Iain Mallory

Iain Mallory has a thirst for adventure which first became apparent whilst he was serving within the Armed Forces as a Warrant Officer in the Army Physical Training Corps. This provided ample opportunity for travel and enabled Iain to become highly qualified in a number of adventurous pursuits including mountaineering, skiing, kayaking and diving. Along the way, he also picked up other skills such as becoming an avalanche specialist!

During his time in the army, he managed to travel to almost every continent on the planet, visiting some amazing destinations to either climb or ski in the mountains or to dive down to experience magnificent reefs or sunken wrecks.

He experienced much on his travels - many things which some would consider totally crazy. For instance among his treasured “bucket list” projects is a burning desire to chase down a storm, experiencing this force of nature, camera in hand. Competing for pole position with his love of travel in all its forms, is his increasing adoration of the photograph and all things photographic. He enjoys expressing his character through his pictures and capturing that special moment for the enjoyment of others. Happy when travelling either as part of a group or solo, the adventure for Iain is always just around the corner, whether it’s engaging with people along the way, with watching events as they unfold or simply enjoying his addictions - coffee and mojitos!
