ABADÍA RETUERTA LEDOMAINE, THE ONLY SPANISH ESTABLISHMENT FEATURED IN THE RELAIS & CHÂTEAUX 2013 GUIDE
London November 2012 - Abadía Retuerta LeDomaine has been chosen as the only Spanish establishment for inclusion in the 2013 edition of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux hotel and restaurant guide.
LeDomaine has been selected for its unique character – a five star hotel situated in a 12th century monastery in the heart of the Ribera del Duero region (in the village of Sardón de Duero, province of Valladolid). It boasts 22 rooms and outstanding facilities which include an haute cuisine restaurant run by chef Andoni Luis Aduriz, as well as a bar and several meeting rooms. The complex is also renowned for its magnificent vinyard that produces superb wines.
The event to mark this distinction was held on Sunday, 4th November in the Italian city of Turin, during the course of the organisation’s annual meeting. More than 400 delegates from around the world gathered to spend the evening with Mr Andrés Araya, the hotel’s General Manager, who received official confirmation of its inclusion as a new member of this prestigious guide from the Worldwide President of Relais & Chateaux, Mr Jaume Tàpies.
“Mr Tàpies has defined us as the newest jewel in their crown. It is a tremendous honour for the hotel and the finest recognition we could expect for all the hard work and effort put in by the members of our team, this distinction is really for them”, Mr Araya explained.
