Today, Voyages-sncf.com is linking up with three other French industry heavyweights, Accor, Galeries Lafayette and the Comité Régional de Tourisme (CRT) Paris-Ile de France, to launch a two-week tactical online campaign designed to increase visibility and awareness behind the popular social hashtag #ParisWeLoveYou, looking to turn goodwill into commercial revenue and visitor figures.
Proud to be an Ambassador for the #ParisWeLoveYou campaign, this April digital blitz (5th – 24th April 2016) will be the first time that Voyages-sncf.com has worked alongside Accor (one of the largest hotel groups in the world), Galeries Lafayette (the iconic French department store) and the Comité Régional de Tourisme (CRT) Paris-Ile de France (the regional tourist board that covers the Paris area), on a pan-European project of this scale.
The hashtag #ParisWeLoveYou campaign launched in December last year and was designed to promote, support and increase tourism to Paris in the wake of the November terrorist attacks with the website www.parisweloveyou.fr.
To drive momentum for this online campaign each partner will be offering a limited short-term incentive to visit the French capital and all are bookable via the Voyages-sncf landing page – terms and conditions apply – see editor’s notes:
Paris has, until the recent terrorist incidents, been the number one tourism destination in the world with 6,792,000 overnight stays per annum coming from the UK alone. Of this figure, 61% are return visitors and 80% are leisure related bookings. Unsurprisingly, the three most popular attractions are Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe.*
Whether it is iconic places such as Montmartre or the Tuilleries gardens, or exhibitions like Picasso sculptures at Paris’ Picasso Museum, the Art & Child at Musée Montmartre Monet or Seydou Keita’s photographs at the Grand Palais, Paris has something for everyone and the campaign will seek to highlight those areas and attractions once again.
