We asked The Good life France editor Janine Marsh to give us her three top tips to Saint Denis – one of Euro 2016’s host cities.
- Don’t miss the Royal Basilica of Saint-Denis, the world’s first monumental masterpiece of Gothic art and last resting place of 75 Kings and Queens of France.
- Browse at the biggest and best flea markets in France. The Marchés aux Puces de Saint-Ouen have been going for almost 150 years.
- The Abbesses district is just a few kilometres away and very popular with the locals for its villagey feel despite being at the foot of Montmartre. There are charming little squares, lots of bars and a relaxed atmosphere
