I do love a little eccentricity when I travel and this young fellow just made me laugh. This travelling “Toulouse-Lautrec” – seen at the historic, half timbered Hotel Renaissance, in Castres in the Tarn part of Midi-Pyrénées, is a priceless gem and so appropriate, given this area was the painter’s stamping ground.
In fact the entire hotel is a collector’s dream with costumes, period suitcases, and different styled rooms throughout including their Shanghai-inspired suite. Free wifi, multi-lingual staff and a very warm welcome, right in the heart of town – what more do you want?
