I am not sure if this is true or an apocryphal story but I was given to understand by my guide that it is the case. The chimneys in Basel – or at least this one from the Novartis Compound – are painted in the colours of the Swiss mountains. He told me that when stuck in a traffic jam, the driver could look at the colours and remember less fraught times, a happy memory of walking around the country’s renowned mountain ranges. I am not sure if my leg was being ever so gently pulled but I so want this story to be true.
So here it is. Think chimney, think mountains and lower those stress levels.
