2019 Diamond Partnerships Announced
Les Castels have announced two special partnerships in the year of their 60th anniversary.
The first is with ‘Action Enfance’, an organisation that celebrated 60 years in 2018. Set up privately, the State now selects children to be raised in one of the 15 Action Enfance villages that have been built throughout France. Just over 700 children are cared for and taught by 650 professionals. The children have either educational needs or have endured physical, sexual or psychological violence. Ages range from babies until 18 years old.
Action Enfance’ has several ‘godfathers’ that lend themselves to supporting the charity – such as actor Jean Dujardin – ‘The Artist’ and rugby union’s well known dynasty – the Lievremonts. Last year, the famous French navigator Loïck Peyron, sailed the Route de Rhum race in the colours of Action Enfance on his trimarin HAPPY. He also became a ‘godfather’ of the organisation. Many kids and their teachers met with Loïck at des Ormes before the race which took off from St Malo on the 27th October. Two of the children – a girl and a boy were inaugurated as godparent of the boat.
‘Action Enfance’ will be sending a hundred or so children to the various Les Castels sites as they did in 2018, the first year of this collaboration, to experience the fun of the anniversary year, at Easter, All Saints and the summer holidays 6th – 13th July.
The second partnership is on the eco side with ‘La Clef Verte’. Les Castels is unique in being the only camping organisation in France to work with ‘La Clef Verte’ with 99% of the sites having won recognition. A campaign will take place to educate the public as to environmental issues and the way Les Castels are dealing with the challenges.
