Sue Lowry -- Managing Director
Sue has worked in the field of public relations for over twenty years, both on the client side and as an agency consultant. She has built up an enviable network of contacts, not only in all sectors of the media and society but also with industry contacts including airlines, tourist boards, luxury goods companies, department stores and tour operators. Sue founded Magellan in 1998 with business partner Fiona Chapman.
 
Gillian Green -- Account Director
Gillian worked for twelve years as a tour manager before leaving to join Air France Holidays (Jet Tours UK). After only three years Gillian was promoted to Contracts & Products Manager. She then left to become Head of Press & PR at The French Tourist Office in London, a position she held for four years before leaving to join Magellan in January 2000. Gillian is a fluent French speaker.
 

Melanie Childs -- Account Director
Having spent her formulative year in sales and marketing, Melanie Childs originally joined Magellan PR in 1998, becoming our first member of staff.  After four years, she left the company to explore other avenues including a five year stint with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts at their properties in Hampshire and Provence where she was instrumental in launching their spas.  In 2008, Mel decided to return to her public relations roots at Magellan PR as Account Director.

 

Anita Gryson -- Account Executive

A degree in tourism and business studies found Anita exploring Europe, leading directly to her initial contact with Magellan PR where she worked on an internship, winning an award from her course for “Best Internship Abroad”.   A Belgian national with six languages at her command, Anita lived in Italy for a year before returning home to continue her studies - Commercial Sciences and Business studies, specialising in International Marketing. 

After a three month internship at Magellan PR, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in PR and Magellan was so impressed with her abilities, they offered her a job!  Her profound enthusiasm for travel and her communications skills make her a great addition to our team.

 

Jackie McDevitt -- Account Executive

Having just finished a degree in French at the University of Nottingham, Jackie is the newest member of the Magellan team.  Having spent a year living in Marseille as part of her degree, she is enthusiastic about pursing her love of the French language and culture working with some of Magellan's clients.  Jackie is also a very keen skier and sunbather, so when she is not working is sure to be on a piste or beach.
