Just out is Headwater’s Short Stays brochure 2003/4, packed with tempting city break destinations. As with Headwater’s traditional walking and cycling holidays, the Short Stays programme has been carefully designed to allow the customer to get to know the destination intimately, to absorb the scents and the atmosphere in a way that is not possible on an ordinary city break.
New this year is the handy pocket size brochure that devotes a page to each of the twenty-three popular destinations in France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Morocco. There is a wide selection of hotels from two to five-star and choice of transport options. Headwater uses their unique view of each city to bring the customer the essential ingredients of every destination, for example there is a different tip, ‘Living like locals’, suggesting fun things to do. Flexibility is of the utmost importance to Headwater so almost any holiday can be tailor-made to suit: extra nights, flights from your local airport, competitive upgrades, car parking and airport hotels.
Key to the Headwater experience is the inclusion of their own guidebook, a city walking guide that has been carefully compiled by the Headwater team, using their specialist local knowledge to choose the expert information included, such as where to shop, where to eat, how to get around and what not to miss in the city and close by. Most important however are the walks that can be followed by the first time visitor and seasoned traveller alike.
