Title: Worldwide Walking - A First From Headwater

Date of Release: August 2004

Just out is the very first Worldwide Walking brochure from Headwater, the soft adventure specialist tour operator. For the first time Headwater has included the Caribbean and Latin America in their most exotic selection of holidays to date.

NEW this winter for Headwater are the Caribbean islands of Dominica, St Lucia, Guadeloupe and Martinique, with guided walking holidays emphasising the wonderful fauna, flora, history and Creole cuisine of these exciting destinations. Headwater has unearthed some charming hotels on these islands to make that stay even more special, where one may savour the local hospitality. For example on Dominica, clients will enjoy the Beau Rive, perched high above the crashing Atlantic breakers on the east coast of the island, with mahogany beds, broad terraces and perfect views. In Fort Young, accommodation is in an oceanfront hotel complete with original brass cannons and stonework. In St Lucia, four nights are spent in the Auberge Seraphine, a bright, colonial lodge with egrets nesting in the surrounding trees, and four nights in La Haut Plantation, a traditional wooden building with two panoramic swimming-pools overlooking the two island peaks.

In Latin America, Headwater has selected Costa Rica as one of the last Gardens of Eden to stage their Wildlife Walk. The tour explores Costa Ricas most dramatic contrasts. The tour takes a fascinating route from rain forest, past volcanoes to the crashing surf of the Pacific coast. The wildlife walk often encounters amazing agoutis and iguanas, quetzals and tree frogs. This holiday is really very special.

No other operator in the UK offers a wider range of walking holidays to the Caribbean.

In Europe Headwater has introduced a NEW guided walking holiday in southern Spain, the Best of Andalucia which explores the countrys most romantic region. This tour incorporates gems such as Seville, Crdoba and Granada, with gentle walking over delightful countryside.

Also, a NEW independent walking holiday called the Hidden Valleys of Crdoba, which not only features fantastic walking country but also represents great value for money. Clients stay in Zuheros, a classic whitewashed Spanish village high in the Sierra Subbetica. The spectacular coastal and gorge walks have not been travelled before, but with Headwaters guidance, the full splendour of the experience will be emphasised.

The NEW Secret Villages of Mallorca Walk explores the islands untouched Western Coastline taking guests from hotel to charming hotel - a restored monastery, a converted convent, a former Bishops residenceand has a great mix of forest paths and coastal trails to explore.

Other highlights of the NEW WORLDWIDE WALKING brochure include long-term favourite holidays to Jordan, Morocco, Gozo, Cyprus, Crete, Madeira, The Canary Islands including La Gomera, and southern Spain.

The lead in price for the brochure is 579 per person for the Hidden Valleys of Crdoba holiday. This price includes seven nights accommodation on a half board basis plus return flights and transfers in Spain.
