What�s the story: Research* out today (5 September 2006), shows that nearly a third of Britons feel that owning their own �Place in the Sun� would reduce their holiday hang ups, lower their stress levels and even improve their relationships!
Nearly a quarter of people questioned for A Place In The Sun LIVE, said worrying about the standard of holiday accommodation and whether the destination would live up to the brochure expectations had led to serious arguments before and during their break. Scots (33%) and Midlanders (27%) are the most likely to row.
Whereas having a holiday home abroad would mean more �fun in the sun� for 15% of Britons, with an amazing 23% of Yorkshiremen thinking that it would have a direct positive impact on their sex life.
Nearly 30% said that owning their own �Place in the Sun� would relieve the personal pressures of planning holidays siting the benefits of visiting tried and trusted destinations and guaranteed accommodation as well as being able to book family friendly flight times.
42% also thought that owning their own �Place in the Sun� would improve their quality of life as they would take more breaks and holiday each year.
