November 2014… Les Castels a collection of 41 four and five star camping sites around France has added two new campsites to its collection.
Castel Domaine de la Bergerie at Roquebrune-sur-Argens in the Var, Provence sits in a 60 hectare site surrounding a stone farmhouse which today houses the bar and restaurant where visitors can enjoy dances and concerts on warm summer evenings. This superb natural park lies ten minutes from the beach and is dotted with umbrella pines, mimosa and chestnut trees
This five star site boasts an enormous aquatic centre, over 1400 square metres including a large outdoor pool, waterfall, Jacuzzi, a flowing river, and two heated pool areas, a play area for the toddlers and a fitness centre that has a massage room, sauna and hammam. There is also a hairdresser and beautician. There are children’s clubs for all ages and a disco club for the over 18’s too.
A special weekend rate for Spring and Autumn starts at 216 Euros for two nights for a mobile home that sleeps up to four people. The Premium mobile homes on offer here have a sun bathing area, panoramic windows, flat-screen TV’s, air-conditioning, WiFi, and washing machine or dishwasher.
Castel Le Camp de Florence at La Romieu in the Gers area of Midi-Pyrénées is a four star site deep in the heart of d’Artagnan country. The site encompasses a restored farmhouse and has spectacular views over the surrounding countryside with the vineyards of the Côtes de Gascogne, chestnut trees and fields of sunflowers.
The feeling of spaciousness is a real bonus as the site is over ten hectares and includes a giant aqua area of more than 500 square metres. The pool boasts a toboggan, bubble bath and paddling pool for the little ones who will also benefit from the children’s club in the high season. In the evening families can enjoy the concerts, shows and themed ‘soirées’ as well as enjoy regional specialities in the restaurant – foie gras, confit de canard and magret de canard.
The village of La Romieu is dominated by the thirteenth century collegiate church which has been recognised by UNESCO and is a popular stage on the St. Jacques de Compostella pilgrimage route.

There is a special offer for summer 2015 for a glamping ‘Canada’ tent that sleeps up to five people from just 350 Euros per week in July and August. ‘Prêt-à-partir‘ weekend packages are also available in Spring and Autumn starting at 149Euros for two nights in a chalet or mobile home that sleeps up to five. Included in the price is swimming-pool entrance, WiFi access, sheets and kitchen towels plus if you take your pet there is no charge.
