Make your Holiday Choice at The France Show 2013
The France Show is the UK’s largest event dedicated to France and is a must for anyone interested in France and all things French – no other show is as comprehensive nor offers such good value for money. Tickets are fantastically priced at present at only £6.00 per person for the best of France in a day (until the end of November 2012 quoting promotional code MG213). On the door tickets are £13 per person so this represents a big saving of £7 for advanced bookers. This year nearly 18,000 visitors came along and more are expected for next January as the show was such a great success.
The France Show features the best of French – food, wine, travel, property, entertainment, language and shopping – everything to do with La Belle France, all under one roof. There will be a French restaurant for a culinary treat, wine tasting theatres with top oenologists awakening your taste buds, cookery demonstrations – find out how you too may emulate Raymond Blanc (!!), a large French market – we defy anyone not to visit without taking a special French goody home to try, a pétanque pitch and Champagne Bar – a must visit to celebrate your victory at pétanque.
For those of you who decided on a staycation in 2012 thanks to the great series of British events that took place in the UK such as the Jubilee celebrations and the Olympics and Paralympics, 2013 maybe the year to travel abroad once again, and where could be better choice and value than France. The France Show has a number of exhibitors and speakers to help you make your mind up as to where to choose for your French idyll 2013.
France does offer such a plethora of different holiday experiences it can be hard to decide where to go and what to do. France is a great choice for many reasons. Firstly France is close by and easy to get to, whether by boat, plane or train, the connexions from all over the UK are numerous and varied, particularly in the summer. Secondly, France has it all – whatever type of holiday you are looking for – sun sea, beach, countryside, mountains, lakes…and whatever activity suits you best – walking, cycling, relaxing on the beach, spa, sightseeing, cultural tours, river cruising… Over a quarter of visitors to the Show this year came with the intent of seeking holiday advice, both for short breaks and longer stays, and they were not disappointed.
Exhibiting at the Show will be representatives of areas of France very popular with us British such as the Vienne, Boulogne, Brittany, the Loire and Limousin, as well as travel organisers offering a range of holiday options such as Lagrange Holidays who feature mainly self – catering options throughout the country, or CroisiEurope River Cruises, The Gascony Cookery School, or brush up your French with Language in Provence – just a few of the companies offering great holiday choices. Ferry companies who can whisk you across the Channel (at very reasonable prices) will also be present – try DFDS, P&O, MyFerryLink and Brittany Ferries.
For expert holiday advice Nick Trend, top travel writer and French aficionado for The Daily Telegraph will be speaking at the show as well as best-selling author Kate Mosse, who will unveil her secrets of the Languedoc-Roussillon region in the seminar theatre. There will be the chance to win numerous prizes from a series of competitions too…. more to be revealed shortly! So mark the date in the diary to alleviate those post-Christmas blues, the France Show is back! It’s a great day out.
