The first in our count down is the just opened and uber-chic Fairmont The Palm, Dubai. Elegantly framed by palms and with soft golden sand, the beach at The Palm is a perfect way to relax after a day touring this magnificent city.
Taking a step a little closer to home, our second beach is on the Ile d’Aix a small yet perfectly formed island of the cost of Poitou-Charentes, France. The soft waves lap at the sands and wild flowers, which set the beach on Aix aside from any others in Europe.
For our third beach we are whisking you away to white sands and clear crystal waters. No I am not dreaming of a Bond Set (but Daniel is welcome to join us anytime), but this beach near Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Mexico. And that’s Miss Beach Thursday herself on the left with doppelgänger Abi King!
If you are in the south of England, then our fourth recommendation is perfect to walk off that extra roast potato after a hearty Sunday lunch. West Wittering offers panoramic views of Chichester Harbour and the South Downs beyond, the natural and unspoilt sandy beach has been a favourite destination for a family day out for generations and you can even take the dog!
For our fifth and final beach we are heading back to France and the idyllic Il de Ré. The beaches here have long been the playground of the Parisian elite, unsurprising when you consider they are amongst the most beautiful in the world.
