King Pacific Lodge
King Pacific Lodge, A Rosewood Resort, was named the world’s number one wilderness lodge of 2006 by prestigious Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report. Located in pristine wilderness teeming with wildlife in British Columbia, Canada, and anchored along the shore of Barnard Harbour, Princess Royal Island (which has no permanent inhabitants or structures), the property lies in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest, the world’s largest remaining tract of temperate rainforest. Guests are flown from Vancouver Airport by private charter to Bella Bella, where they board a floatplane for a scenic transfer to the Lodge’s front door. The Lodge itself is a floating luxury wilderness lodge built of native pine, fir, cedar and stone on a 100 x 60 square foot barge, with 17 guests rooms and suites, wrap-around deck with spectacular views, spa, Jacuzzi and plunge pool.
